Domain of the Week

Domain of the Week is a feature that highlights curated domains, bringing timely or featured topics to the forefront. It’s a way to discover new areas for exploration and join conversations others are having about the same topics.

How It Works

Each week, Conical features one or more domains that admins have selected as particularly relevant or interesting. These featured domains appear prominently on the Forum home screen.

When you click on a featured domain, you see:

  • Domain name and description — What the domain is about
  • Three intent-specific conversation starters — Pre-written prompts tailored to different perspectives:
    • “I have opinions” — For those who already have a strong viewpoint
    • “I want to understand” — For those seeking to learn
    • “I’m neutral” — For those approaching the topic without preconceptions
  1. Click on a featured domain
  2. Select which intent matches your approach (or just jump in)
  3. The system starts a conversation linked to that featured domain
  4. Your conversation is immediately associated with the domain—no domain inference needed

This pre-association means you get more focused conversations, and the system has better context about what you’re exploring from the very start.

Viewing Past Domains

Featured domains from previous weeks remain accessible. You can:

  • Browse historical domains — See what topics have been featured recently
  • Start conversations on past domains — Jump into exploration of topics from previous weeks
  • See completion rates — Check how many users have engaged with each featured domain
  • Guided exploration — The domain descriptions and conversation starters help you engage more thoughtfully
  • Community alignment — Know that others are exploring the same topics
  • Regular topics — Creates a rhythmic pattern of curated exploration across the community
  • Research focus — Helps Conical gather rich data on how personality expresses itself across consistent, well-defined topics
