Forum — Getting Started
Welcome to Forum! This guide will help you get started navigating the platform, understanding the core features, and making the most of your experience.
The Forum Home
When you first join, you’ll see the Forum home screen. The main interface has:
- Dashboard — Your active conversations and recent domains
- “What’s on your mind?” input — Start new conversations here
- Sidebar — Quick access to all your domains and conversation history
Starting Your First Conversation
- Enter what’s on your mind in the text field — this can be a question, a decision you’re wrestling with, or a topic you want to explore
- Click “Start conversation”
- The system will begin a dialogue to help clarify what you’re actually trying to figure out
- Engage naturally — the more thoughtful your responses, the richer the analysis
Understanding Your Domains
All your conversations are organized by domain. The sidebar shows:
- Your domains — Each with a conversation count
- New Conversation button — Quickly start a new conversation in any domain
- Compare Domains button — See how your personality varies across topics (available once you have 2+ assessments)
Getting Your First Assessment
After a substantive conversation (typically 10+ turns), you have two options:
Conversation Analysis
- Click Analyze on a completed conversation
- The system generates a Cognitive Expression Profile (CEP) based on how you engaged
- You’ll see how your personality expressed itself in that domain
Self-Attestation Survey
- From a domain, click the Assessment section
- Answer 44 questions tailored to that domain
- Get your CEP directly from your answers
Managing Your Profile
Visit your Settings page to:
- View your account information
- Generate and manage API Keys for external tools
- Control your preferences
Using the Compare Tool
Once you have assessments in 2+ domains:
- Click Compare Domains from the sidebar
- See side-by-side radar charts showing how your personality shifts across topics
- Explore the proximity matrix to find your most similar/different domains
- Discover patterns in your thinking across life areas
Tips for Best Results
- Go deep — Longer, more substantive conversations produce stronger personality signals
- Be honest — The system learns best when you’re genuine in your responses
- Compare over time — Take assessments in the same domain periodically to see how your thinking evolves
- Explore diverse topics — Build a fuller picture of yourself across different life areas
